Welcome to another edition of our Member Spotlight Series on the Madison Mompreneur blog! This series will help you get to know the members of Madison Mompreneur as we ask them questions about their personal and professional life as moms who own businesses in the Madison, Alabama area.
We are continuing this series with the spotlight on Dr. Yanique Rolingson, Owner of S.N.A.P. Academy!

Tell us about you and your business! I’m Dr. Yanique Rolingson and I own S.N.A.P. Academy
How does your business help people? S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC helps students in grades 2–4 build strong academic foundations in reading, math, and writing through individualized and small-group learning sessions. I also support teachers with consultation, coaching, and encouragement, enmpowering both students and educators have the tools, confidence, and faith to thrive.
How long have you lived in Madison? 5 yrs
What inspired you to start your business? What inspired me to start my business was my experience as an educator for nearly two decades and my desire to make a deeper impact on both students and teachers. I saw how many children struggled with foundational skills in reading, math, and writing, and how that struggle often followed them for years. I also witnessed the weight teachers carry and their need for encouragement, coaching, and faith-filled support. S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC was born from a vision to give students the strong start they deserve while also providing teachers with the tools and confidence they need to thrive.
What sets your business apart from others in the industry? As an educator for nearly two decades, I saw firsthand how many students in the early grades were struggling with foundational skills in reading, math, and writing and how that struggle often followed them for years. I also witnessed the weight teachers carry and the need for encouragement, coaching, and faith-filled support. S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC was born out of a desire to give children the strong start they deserve and to provide teachers with the tools and confidence to keep thriving.
What do you consider to be your biggest success so far? My biggest success so far has been finding the courage to step out of my comfort zone and trust God to guide me. In doing so, I’ve been able to pursue the true desire of my heart: to move beyond the limits of a system and create space to help students build strong foundations while also giving teachers encouragement and support. That step of faith turned a vision into reality with the launch of S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC, a program designed to equip students with academic skills while nurturing character and confidence. I envision the excitement of parents, educators, and community members as this work grows and meets a real need, laying the foundation for lasting impact.
How does your business contribute to the local community? S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC contributes to the local community by providing students in grades 2–4 with high-quality academic support in reading, math, and writing through small-group and individualized sessions. We also invest in the well-being of educators through coaching, consultation, and encouragement, creating a ripple effect that strengthens both classrooms and families. By nurturing academic growth, character, and confidence, we’re building a stronger foundation for the future of our community.
How do you see your business evolving in the next 5-10 years? In the next 5–10 years, I envision S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC growing into a full-service learning center that serves more students in grades 2–4 while expanding to additional grade levels. I see our work extending beyond academic center to include family engagement, leadership development, and faith-based support programs that strengthen both students and educators. Over time, I plan to build partnerships with local schools, churches, and community organizations so S.N.A.P. Academy becomes a trusted hub for academic excellence, character development, and teacher encouragement in North Alabama and beyond.

Who are your typical customers and how do they find you? Our typical customers will be families with children in grades 2–4 who need extra support in reading, math, and writing through individualized and small-group learning sessions. We also aim to serve educators seeking consultation, coaching, encouragement, and connections to strengthen their practice and well-being. As a new business, families and teachers will find us through word of mouth, community connections, social media, and partnerships with schools and organizations in the Madison and Huntsville area.
What do you enjoy most about running your business? What I look forward to enjoying most about running my business is seeing students gain confidence as they strengthen their academic skills and knowing that I’ve helped give them a stronger foundation for the future. I also anticipate the joy of supporting teachers through consultation, coaching, encouragement, and connections so they feel equipped and valued in their work. Most of all, I’m excited about building meaningful relationships with families, educators, and community partners as S.N.A.P. Academy grows.
How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes? I plan to stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes by actively engaging with professional learning communities, attending education conferences, and connecting with other local business and education leaders through organizations like the Chamber of Commerce. I will also continue reading research on effective instructional practices, following thought leaders in education, and seeking feedback from families and teachers so that S.N.A.P. Academy stays relevant, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our community.
What advice would you give to someone interested in starting a business in your industry? My advice to anyone interested in starting a business in education is to begin with a clear sense of purpose. This work requires passion, patience, and persistence because you’re not only shaping academics but also shaping lives. Take time to understand the real needs of students, families, and teachers in your community and design services that genuinely meet those needs. Build connections, seek mentorship, and don’t be afraid to start small. Most importantly, have the courage to step out of your comfort zone, trust the process, and remain flexible as you grow.
What product/service would you like for us to highlight at this time? At this time, I would like to highlight our small-group and individualized learning sessions for students in grades 2–4. These sessions focus on building strong foundations in reading, math, and writing while also nurturing character and confidence. This is the heart of S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC and the service we are most excited to bring to families in our community.
Do you involve your kids in your business? If yes, how so? Yes, I do involve my children in my business. My older son, who is currently a student and tutor at UAH, has expressed interest in supporting me with this work. His involvement not only allows him to contribute his own gifts and experiences but also makes this business a family journey. I believe including my children helps them see the value of education, service, and entrepreneurship firsthand.
What do you find is the most difficult part of balancing mommyhood and business life? What I anticipate being the most difficult part of balancing motherhood and business life is making sure I stay fully present for my daughter, who is a sophomore in high school and the only one left in our household, while also giving S.N.A.P. Academy the focus it needs to grow. My two sons attend UAH for engineering and one is also a part of the track team, so my daughter still needs my attention, support, and presence day to day. I know it will take intentional planning, prayer, and balance, but I believe this journey will model resilience, courage, and faith for all three of my children.
What business in the Madison Area is your favorite? A local business I admire is Mathnasium of Madison, located at 51 Nance Road, Suite 101. Their model of individualized learning and foundational skill-building closely aligns with what S.N.A.P. Academy aims to provide across multiple subjects.
Do you have a business bestie? At this stage, I don’t have a business bestie, but I truly value the opportunity to connect with other local entrepreneurs. As S.N.A.P. Academy grows, I look forward to building relationships with like-minded business owners who share the same passion for education, community, and making a lasting impact.
Anything else you would like for us to highlight? I would love for you to highlight that S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC is not just about academics, but about building the whole child. We focus on strengthening reading, math, and writing skills while also nurturing character, confidence, and resilience. In addition, we offer consultation, coaching, and encouragement for educators, because when teachers are supported, students thrive. Our vision is to serve as a bridge that helps families, educators, and the community come together to create lasting impact. One Vision. Two Paths.
Where can people find you? People can find me through our website at snapacademyal.org . I am based in Madison, Alabama, and available to connect with families, educators, and community partners locally and online. I am also currently building our Facebook business page, S.N.A.P. Academy, LLC, where updates and resources will be shared.

Rediscovering Joy Beyond Work
In a world that praises constant productivity, doing something “just for fun” can feel almost indulgent. For many moms, especially those balancing entrepreneurship and family, every minute seems spoken for. Yet as Eve Rodsky explains in her bestselling book Find Your Unicorn Space, joy and creativity are not optional. They are essential to a balanced, thriving life.
Rodsky defines a unicorn space as the personal time and activity that let you express yourself beyond your roles as mom, partner, or business owner. It is not self-care like resting or pampering, and it is not work, even when you love what you do. It is the creative pursuit that belongs completely to you — the spark that helps you feel alive, inspired, and whole.
Why Mom Entrepreneurs Need Creative Outlets
Many Madison-area moms have built businesses around their passions, which makes it hard to separate work from creativity. When every craft, photo, or idea becomes tied to income, the joy can fade. That is why it is vital to find a non-income-producing hobby — something done purely for pleasure and expression.
Engaging in creative play reduces stress, boosts confidence, and reignites the curiosity that fuels both business and family life. It is not wasted time; it is renewal time.
Where to Explore Your Unicorn Space in Madison
Our community is full of inspiring, mom-owned spaces where you can explore new hobbies without pressure or performance.
- Wine & Design: Perfect for anyone who loves color, creativity, and conversation. Their guided painting classes let you create art simply for the joy of it.
- Blue Apple Books: A charming local bookstore where you can slow down with a good read or join a community event that reconnects you with the joy of simple stories.
- 1Cor Pilates: A peaceful studio where movement meets mindfulness. Their classes help you reconnect with your body in a calm, encouraging setting.
- Lemon & Lavender: A cozy haven for hands-on creativity. Their craft workshops invite you to play, experiment, and connect with others.
- Raging Gazebo: Ideal for book lovers and gamers alike. Explore stories, strategy, and community in a space designed for fun and imagination.
- Local Travel Agents: For moms who dream of adventure, partnering with a travel advisor from the Madison Mompreneur Member Directory can help you plan meaningful trips that nurture creativity and curiosity.
Your Permission to Play
Your worth is not measured by productivity. When you paint, stretch, craft, read, or explore simply because it brings you joy, you strengthen every other part of your life.
This week, give yourself permission to rediscover your unicorn space. Try a class, book a trip, or pick up a hobby that exists outside of income or expectation.
At Madison Mompreneur, we believe that the happiest moms and the strongest businesses come from women who make room for their own spark. Your unicorn space is not a luxury — it is a lifeline.

Welcome to another edition of our Member Spotlight Series on the Madison Mompreneur blog! This series will help you get to know the members of Madison Mompreneur as we ask them questions about their personal and professional life as moms who own businesses in the Madison, Alabama area.
We are continuing this series with the spotlight on Kelbey McGhee, Owner of Hatched Design Co.!

Tell us about yourself!
I’m Kelbey McGhee, and I’m the owner of Hatched Design Co.
How does your business help people?
As a brand and website designer, I help overwhelmed entrepreneurs find their confidence with relationship-focused branding and conversion-driven Showit websites.
How long have you lived in Madison?
I’ve lived in the area my whole life!
What inspired you to start your business?
While I was working in the marketing department for a tech company in Nashville, TN, the whole branch I had worked with was laid off. So, yes, one day I had a 9–5, the next…I had zero income and a whole lotta questions. And while being jobless isn’t exactly what I’d recommend for a good time, that layoff gave me the push I didn’t know I needed. I decided to give freelancing a go. One project led to another, and suddenly I had a real business forming in front of me. Not bad for a fresh-outta-corporate girl with a laptop and a Pinterest mood board! As I worked with more clients, I realized who I loved working with the most were women starting their own businesses from scratch. The ones who were ready to ditch the 9–5 grind in exchange for freedom and flexibility — but had no idea where to start when it came to branding. I saw myself in them. I was them. So, I made it official. Hatched Design Co was born. And it’s been my full-time gig ever since — helping women in business look and feel like the CEOs they are.
What sets your business apart from others in the industry?
I don’t just design pretty things—I build brands that actually work. While most designers focus on making things look good, I’m obsessed with making sure your brand attracts the right people and drives real results. I combine a decade of strategic marketing knowledge with intentional design to create brands that don’t just sit pretty on the internet—they work overtime to grow your business. Here’s what really sets me apart: I’ve been where the startups are. I know what it feels like to stare at your laptop at 2 AM wondering if you’re crazy for starting a business. That’s why my process feels less like working with a corporate agency and more like having a strategic best friend who happens to know a lot about branding! I specialize in helping entrepreneurs skip the messy middle—that overwhelming phase where you know you need a brand but have no idea where to start. Instead of leaving you to figure it out alone, I guide you through a proven process that turns your vision into a cohesive brand experience that connects with your ideal clients from day one. The bottom line? Other designers give you a logo and website. I give you the confidence and clarity to build something your whole community can’t stop talking about.
What do you consider to be your biggest success so far?
My biggest success isn’t something I built—it’s watching a client go from hiding behind ‘coming soon’ pages for months to launching confidently and booking her first $10K month within 60 days. That moment when she texted me ‘I can’t believe this is actually working!’ That’s what I’m here for.
How does your business contribute to the local community?
I’m passionate about helping local entrepreneurs in the greater Alabama area build businesses they’re proud of. When I help a local baker create a brand that attracts more customers, or design a website for a local service provider that actually converts, I’m directly contributing to our local economy and helping small businesses thrive right here at home.
How do you see your business evolving in the next 5-10 years?
It’s 10 years down the road, and Hatched is totally killing it in the small business world. I want to be the go-to crew for entrepreneurs looking to level up their game in the area. We’re keeping things boutique. We’re not trying to be the next big corporate giant. We’re all about that quality over quantity life. We’re staying true to our roots, keeping things personal, and delivering awesomeness on a silver platter.
Who are your typical customers and how do they find you?
My ideal clients? They’re the go-getters, the dreamers, the “I’m gonna make this happen” types. We’re talking about: First-time entrepreneurs ready to make their mark, small business owners who know it’s time for a digital glow-up, corporate escapees starting their own gig, and creative souls who need help turning their ideas into a real-deal brand. These folks know that good design isn’t just pretty – it’s powerful. They’re ready to invest in their business’s future, but they’d rather leave the design magic to someone who lives and breathes this stuff (aka, yours truly). They’ll find me during local networking events, through the mouth’s of successful clients, and Instagram for national reach.
What do you enjoy most about running your business?
I’m obsessed with the puzzle of it all. Taking someone’s big, messy vision and figuring out how to turn it into a cohesive brand that actually works. Every project is like a creative challenge where I get to dig into their story, understand their people, and then design something that bridges that gap perfectly.
How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes?
I follow a mix of design blogs, marketing podcasts, other designers and industry leaders on social media, but I’m selective about it. I focus on sources that share both the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ behind trends—because understanding the strategy behind a design choice is way more valuable than just copying what looks cool. Plus, my clients often share what they’re seeing in their own fields.
What advice would you give to someone interested in starting a business in your industry?
Start before you’re “ready”. Don’t wait until you feel ‘qualified enough’ or have the perfect portfolio—I started with a laptop and way too much coffee! The best way to learn is by doing actual client work. Start with friends, family, or small local businesses who need help. Your skills will grow with every project, and real client work teaches you things no course ever could.
What product/service would you like for us to highlight at this time?
All-in-One Brand and Website Design: A simple, no-fuss design experience that turns your brand and website into a polished, conversion-driven home for your brand.
Do you involve your kid(s) in your business? If yes, how so?
Somewhat! My son is 3.5 and he likes to watch what I do on the computer every so often. But he likes to “type my emails” more!
What do you find is the most difficult part of balancing motherhood and business life?
The hardest part is the constant mental switching between ‘mom mode’ and ‘business owner mode.’ One minute I’m designing a brand strategy, the next I’m dealing with a toddler meltdown because his daddy gave him milk in a red cup instead of a blue cup, then immediately switching back to take a client call. It’s not just the time management—it’s the emotional and mental energy it takes to be fully present for both sides.

With Madison City and surrounding school districts heading into the 2nd quarter, all of the kid afterschool and weekend activities are in full swing. When the last bell of the day rings through the halls, it signals the start of the Mompreneur’s second shift as chauffeur and facilitator of all the activities. Not to mention, if you have a volunteer or paid role in these organizations—our coworking group alone has coaches and booster sponsors for high school teams—the workday becomes even

Why Are We All So Busy?
If you’re starting to question how you can balance your business and motherhood responsibilities during this hectic season, you’re not alone. In a “very scientific” study we conducted at a past coworking session, 4.5 out of 5 moms (yes, we’re still wondering what a half mom looks like) admitted to feeling overwhelmed by their fall schedules.
When everyone around us is overbooked, it can normalize the stress. We may even start thinking that constant busyness is just how life has to be. But here’s the truth: we don’t have to stay on autopilot. We can make intentional choices to create a healthier rhythm for our businesses, our families, and ourselves.
What To Do About It
As much as everything feels urgent, the reality is this: if everything is important, nothing is. To protect both your business and your family time, start by prioritizing commitments. That may look like trimming your kids’ activity list, saying no to one more committee, or streamlining business tasks that drain your energy.
Here are a few strategies our Madison mom entrepreneurs are using to reclaim balance:
- Batch Your Business Tasks – Instead of juggling emails, content creation, and client calls daily, batch similar tasks into focused work blocks. Even just two hours of deep focus can move your business forward faster than a scattered eight-hour day.
- Set Clear Boundaries – Let your family know your “office hours” (even if that office is your dining table). When you protect time for your business, you model healthy boundaries for your kids, too.
- Outsource When You Can – Whether it’s hiring a babysitter one afternoon a week or bringing in a bookkeeper, small investments can create major breathing room.
- Leverage Community – This is where Madison Mompreneur shines. Our coworking sessions, member directory, and events give local moms a space to connect, share strategies, and lean on each other when things get tough. You don’t have to balance it all alone.
Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship isn’t about achieving perfection—it’s about designing a life that works for you. Some seasons will lean heavier toward business, and others toward family. By setting priorities, leaning into community, and giving yourself permission to say no, you’ll find that balance doesn’t have to feel impossible.
If you’re a mom business owner in Madison, Alabama, looking for support, connection, or just a reminder that you’re not the only one juggling it all, Madison Mompreneur is here for you. Together, we can pour energy back into moms while building thriving businesses that make our community stronger.

Welcome to another edition of our Member Spotlight Series on the Madison Mompreneur blog! This series will help you get to know the members of Madison Mompreneur as we ask them questions about their personal and professional life as moms who own businesses in the Madison, Alabama area.
We are continuing this series with the spotlight on Lindsey Barron, Owner of Rocket City Mom!

Tell us about yourself and your business! I’m Lindsey Barron, and I’m the owner of Rocket City Mom.
How does your business help people? Rocket City Mom helps North Alabama families thrive. Through our website, www.rocketcitymom.com, we provide free, reliable, and hyperlocal parenting resources to support families at every stage. From our comprehensive event calendar and seasonal guides to education tools, local business spotlights, and community stories, we connect parents and caregivers with the information they need to make informed decisions. Whether it’s finding a fun weekend activity, choosing the right school, or navigating parenting challenges, Rocket City Mom empowers families with access, support, and connection in their local community.
How long have you lived in the Madison area? I have lived in Madison County for 40 years.
What inspired you to start your business? As a long-time advocate for families and children in North Alabama, I saw Rocket City Mom as more than just a website, it was a trusted lifeline for parents in our community. I was inspired to purchase Rocket City Mom because I deeply believe in the power of connection, information, and local support. As a mom of a large, blended family and someone who has spent decades working with nonprofits, I understand firsthand how valuable it is to have access to reliable resources during every stage of parenthood. I wanted to ensure Rocket City Mom not only continued serving families but also expanded its reach, grew its impact, and remained a voice for those navigating both the joys and challenges of raising children in our region.
What sets your business apart from others in the industry? What sets Rocket City Mom apart is our deep-rooted connection to the community we serve. Unlike national parenting websites, we are hyperlocal and personally invested in North Alabama families. Our content is created by local parents, for local parents, which means we understand their unique needs, challenges, and opportunities. We don’t just share information; we build relationships, amplify underrepresented voices, and advocate for resources that make a real difference. With over a decade of trust, a robust online presence, and genuine partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and small businesses, Rocket City Mom is more than a resource, we’re a reliable companion in the parenting journey.
What do you consider to be your biggest success so far? Our biggest success has been building and sustaining a trusted, free resource that truly makes a difference in the lives of North Alabama families. Since taking ownership, we’ve expanded our reach, deepened community partnerships, and kept local parenting content accessible to all, regardless of income or background. One of our proudest achievements is being recognized with the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Community Impact Award, which affirmed that our mission to connect, support, and uplift families is not only working, but valued. Seeing the direct impact of our work, whether it’s a parent finding the perfect school, a local event reaching new audiences, or a small business thriving through our promotion, reminds us daily that our success is shared with the community we serve.
How does your business contribute to the local community? Rocket City Mom contributes to the local community by serving as a bridge between families and the resources they need to thrive. We spotlight local events, schools, nonprofits, and small businesses, giving them a platform to reach parents and caregivers across North Alabama. Our free event calendar, seasonal guides, and educational content make it easier for families to stay connected, informed, and engaged. Beyond digital resources, we also host and support in-person events that bring the community together, from learning conferences to family festivals. By amplifying local voices, advocating for children and families, and partnering with mission-driven organizations, Rocket City Mom plays an active role in strengthening the fabric of our region.
How do you see your business evolving in the next 5-10 years? In the next 5-10 years, I see Rocket City Mom evolving into an even more dynamic hub for parenting support across North Alabama. We’ll continue to innovate digitally, with a more robust mobile experience, inclusive content, and deeper engagement through video, podcasts, and interactive tools. At the heart of it all, our mission will remain the same: to serve families with empathy, elevate local voices, and champion causes that improve the quality of life for children and parents. As communities grow and change, so will we, always grounded in local impact and authentic connection.
Who are your typical customers and how do they find you? Our typical audience includes parents, caregivers, and educators in North Alabama, especially those looking for trustworthy, local information to support their families. From new moms searching for pediatricians to seasoned parents navigating school choices, our readers span every stage of the parenting journey. Many find us through organic Google searches, social media, word-of-mouth referrals, and community partnerships. Our searchable event calendar, school and camp guides, and timely local features make us a go-to resource. We’re proud that once families discover Rocket City Mom, they tend to stay with us throughout their parenting years and often recommend us to others in their circle.
What do you enjoy most about running your business? What I enjoy most about running Rocket City Mom is knowing that the work we do truly matters to families in our community and getting to do that work alongside an amazing team. Every day, I’m inspired by the passion, creativity, and dedication of the people behind Rocket City Mom. We’re not just co-workers, we’re fellow parents, advocates, and community-builders who genuinely care about making life a little easier and more joyful for the families we serve. Collaborating with this incredible team to uplift local voices, support small businesses, and connect parents to valuable resources is both a privilege and a joy. It’s the people, both on our team and in our community, that make this work so rewarding.
How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes? Staying current is essential in the fast-paced world of digital media and parenting resources. At Rocket City Mom, we stay up-to-date with industry trends by actively engaging with other leaders in local journalism, parenting networks, and digital publishing. We regularly attend professional conferences, and track analytics and reader feedback to guide content decisions. We also stay closely connected to our community, listening to what families need, what topics they’re talking about, and what resources they’re seeking. This combination of data, dialogue, and professional development helps us adapt quickly, stay relevant, and continue delivering content that truly serves our readers.
What advice would you give to someone interested in starting a business in your industry? My biggest piece of advice is to start with service, know who your audience is and how you can genuinely help them. In this industry, trust is everything. If you’re building a parenting resource or local media platform, be prepared to show up consistently, listen to your community, and deliver value without expecting instant returns. Build relationships with local organizations, small businesses, and families, you’ll grow stronger together. Also, don’t underestimate the importance of adaptability; digital trends, algorithms, and reader needs evolve quickly, so stay curious and willing to pivot. And finally, surround yourself with a passionate team. A mission-driven, supportive crew makes all the difference when you’re juggling deadlines, community expectations, and the demands of entrepreneurship.
What product/service would you like for us to highlight at this time? We’d love to highlight our free community Event Calendar, the most comprehensive family-friendly calendar in North Alabama. It’s the go-to resource for parents looking for things to do, from free festivals and library programs to camps, classes, and seasonal fun. Local businesses and organizations can also submit their events for free, making it a win-win for both families and community partners. Promoting this calendar helps families stay connected and engaged while supporting the organizations that make North Alabama a great place to raise kids.
Do you involve your kids in your business? If yes, how so? Yes, absolutely, I love involving my children in Rocket City Mom! They often help prepare for events, assist behind the scenes, and volunteer alongside me at community activities. It’s important to me that they see the value of hard work, service, and giving back. Being part of the Rocket City Mom journey has given them a front-row seat to what it means to support your community and be a voice for others. It’s become a family mission, and I’m proud that they’re learning how to make a positive impact while also sharing in the fun and connection that comes with this work.
What do you find is the most difficult part of balancing motherhood and business life? The most difficult part is feeling like there’s never enough of me to go around. As a mom and a business owner, I’m constantly juggling priorities, and it can be hard to give 100% to both at the same time. There are moments when work needs my full attention, and others when my family needs me more, and navigating that push and pull can be challenging. The guilt that comes with missing a school event or delaying a project deadline is real. But I’ve learned to give myself grace, set boundaries, and focus on being present wherever I am. I remind myself that I’m modeling resilience, passion, and purpose for my kids, and that’s something I’m proud of.
What business in the Madison Area is your favorite? That’s a tough question because we’re lucky to have so many amazing businesses in the Madison area! But one of my favorites is Kids to Love. They’re not only great at what they do, but they also care deeply about the community – finding forever families for children in our community. I love supporting local businesses that give back, create welcoming spaces for families, and bring something special to our area. Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, shopping small, or partnering on events, it’s those community-driven businesses that make Madison feel like home.
Do you have a business bestie? Yes, I absolutely have a business bestie, and I’m so thankful for her! Having someone who understands the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, celebrates the wins, and talks you through the tough moments is invaluable. We bounce ideas off each other, collaborate when we can, and remind each other to take breaks and keep our priorities in check. It’s not just about business it’s about having someone in your corner who gets it. Every entrepreneur needs that kind of support system, and I’m lucky to have found mine.
Anything else you would like for us to highlight? We’d love for you to highlight that Rocket City Mom is more than a website, it’s a mission-driven community resource. Everything we do is rooted in supporting families, lifting up local voices, and creating meaningful connections across North Alabama. We’re proud to offer free access to parenting content, inclusive family guides, and platforms for small businesses and nonprofits to thrive. Whether you’re a brand-new parent or a long-time local, Rocket City Mom is here to walk alongside you. And we’re always growing, so stay tuned for new events, partnerships, and regional expansions that continue to put families first.
